Woodstock Country Club, is a Resort, 18 hole golf course located in Woodstock, Vermont.
In 1895, The Woodstock Inn & Resort's Golf Club opened its first golf links on a hillside cow pasture; today, it boasts some of the finest golfing in the country. The course was designed by William H. Tucker. The course was redesigned in 1961 by Robert Trent Jones, Sr., the Golf Club features a 6,000-yard, 18-hole, par-70 golf course.
The course is nestled in the beautiful Kedron Valley. The course is built on fairly flat terrain. There is some mounding that can cause uneven lies. Water hazards come into play on fourteen holes.
Par for the course is 69. From the back tees. the course plays to 6,001 yards. From the forward tees. the course measures 4,924 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 6, a par-5 that plays to 570 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 15, a par-3 that plays to 149 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 1, a 403-yard par-4 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole at Woodstock Golf Course is # 15, the 149 yard par-3.
The signature hole is #4, a 403-yard, par 4, rated as the most difficult hole in the State of Vermont by "Vermont Magazine."
Every three years, this club plays host to the State Amateur Tournament.
The ZAGAT Survey has frequently rated the club as one of "America's Top Golf Courses" for its excellent layout, superb service, and its facilities and value.
